Partner

Our client, a well-established and highly respected AM Law 200 firm, is looking to add a Corporate Partner to their growing team. Rochester NY is the preferred location, but the firm is also open to candidates in Buffalo NY, Albany NY or New York City. A portable book of business is not required for this role. The Corporate Partner role will encompass the following responsibilities: Lead and oversee complex mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, financings, and other strategic corporate transactions Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand and deepen client engagements across practice areas Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups to deliver integrated legal solutions for clients in connection with complex transactions, regulatory challenges, and strategic business initiatives Counsel clients on corporate governance, fiduciary duties, entity formation, restructuring initiatives, succession planning, compliance obligations, and other business-critical legal matters Supervise, mentor and develop associates and counsel within the Corporate & Securities practice group Contribute to firm leadership initiatives, strategic planning, and business development efforts Candidates must meet the following criteria: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials A minimum of ten years of corporate law experience Experience advising complex mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital or corporate governance Must be admitted to practice in New York State Ability to manage multiple matters, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficient leader who excels in client service, team development and practice growth The firm offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package. At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position is $175,000 to $450,000. This salary range represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for the position and does not include performance or merit-based bonuses or other benefits offered by the firm.
