Senior Research Statistician - Exploratory Analysis (Hybrid)

Senior Research Statistician providing statistical support for drug discovery and clinical development at AbbVie's Irvine location. The role involves designing and analyzing biomarker studies to identify patient subgroups and treatment response markers, working across discovery through late-stage clinical trials to inform precision medicine decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and report biomarker and assay studies for early and late-phase clinical trials
• Support discovery and translational scientists in pharmacodynamic, safety, and predictive biomarker analysis
• Implement statistical methodologies for in vitro, in vivo, and human clinical studies under supervision
• Identify biomarker signatures from omics and imaging data for target identification and patient stratification
• Ensure data quality and integrity for analyses; communicate statistical findings to non-statistician collaborators

Requirements

• MS in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field with 4+ years experience; or PhD with any experience
• Prior research experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare settings
• Demonstrated experience with machine learning methods
• Strong written and oral communication abilities
• Familiarity with high-dimensional data integration and overfitting control techniques
• Preferred: experience in biomarker research
