Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Kingwood, TX where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role requires delivering patient-focused respiratory care across a variety of clinical settings within the hospital and performing procedures such as arterial punctures, aerosol and oxygen therapies, and non-invasive ventilation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum one year of experience as an RRT with critical care exposure required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with mechanical ventilators (Hamilton), high-flow devices (Vapotherm, Airvo), V60 BiPAP, Parapac, and point-of-care ABG analyzers (EPOC) preferred.
• Experience using Meditech Expanse or comparable EMR preferred.
• Ability to perform patient assessment and execute physician-ordered treatment procedures.
• Willingness to float to different inpatient units. Floating to different units is mandatory and rotations are assigned based on staffing.

Preferred Qualifications

• NRP and PALS certifications preferred.
• Experience in a high-acuity, large-bed hospital environment.
• Prior experience with arterial punctures and advanced ventilator management.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900–0700.
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday).
• No on-call requirement.
• Floating to different inpatient units is mandatory; staff working consecutive shifts may remain on the same unit if staffing permits.
