Patient Service RepresentativeLocation: Plumsteadville, PA 18949Duration: 3 months (Temp to Perm) Weekly schedule will include 1 late shift of 11:45am-8:15pm. Other shifts will be 7:45am-4:15pm or 8am-4:45pm.Schedules are available 2 weeks out.Pay: $15 to $20 an hourInterview: Teams interviewPosition Overview:Patient Service & Scheduling:Answering patient calls and handling inquiries promptly, following protocols and service standards.Scheduling appointments (in person or by phone), confirming details, and rescheduling or canceling as needed.Managing patient arrival and departure activities — collecting copays, obtaining insurance cards, signatures, and referrals, and updating records in the EMR.Communicating wait times and patient flow to both patients and staffFinancial & Administrative Tasks:Verifying patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and benefitsObtaining pre-authorizations, referrals, and coordinating benefitsRegulatory & Compliance:Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and localMaintaining patient confidentiality and safetyCustomer Experience:Anticipating patient needs and resolving issues promptlyBuilding positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staffResponsibilities – Room patients, patient calls, booking appts, other responsibilities as assigned.Training: 5 hour EPIC training on a Friday during the onboarding process. 8a-1p with break plus 15-minute HIPAA training module.
