Then VALCO is the company for you!* Generous PTO upon completion of 90-day probationary period *Medical insurance after 30 Days*Responsibilities Include:Maintaining training equipment at site (computer and access to a projector/monitor)Coordinating with HR for record keeping of all safety documentsPresiding over the site safety committees and performing periodic audits of siteAssisting Site Manager on Environmental practices at each siteAssisting in other departments and/or functional areas as requiredIdentifying Lean and/or Continuous Improvement opportunitiesLeading Kaizen, 5S, and Set-up Reduction eventsCollecting and analyzing data prior to and during Lean eventsPerforming hands-on activities to implement Continuous Improvement ideas Oversight of Continuous Improvement activitiesDeveloping and delivering report-outs on completed projectsMonitoring the sustainment of completed initiatives by maintaining 30-day list records and following up with assignees to promote task completionDeveloping and maintaining standard work in work cellsCreating and initiating training documents for all manufacturing areas of the plantAnalyzing and developing time standardsAssisting and serving as backup for Quality TechnicianMaintaining a thorough awareness of OSHA regulations and industry standardsAttending safety training and seminars as neededImplementing corporate safety policies and revising to meet site specific needs in conjunction with corporate safety officer approvalCoordinating, with assistance from appropriate company entities (Safety, HR, and Ops), the employee training required by company safety policies and practices*Requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredPossess excellent communication, listening, and persuasive skillsPossess analytical and problem-solving skillsPossess excellent organizational skillsPossess a working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointPossess a working knowledge of ESSelf-directed and self- motivatedCommitment to lead and drive changePossess 30 hours OSHA Compliance Certificate and attend periodic safety seminars to maintain awareness of current and developing safety issues3-5 hours annual safety training/employeeRegular and predictable attendanceMust be safety oriented and work well with others
