Financial Advisor Assistant

A boutique financial advisory firm is seeking an individual working toward their CFP for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial planning and investment industry. This full-time, permanent position is in-office and involves assisting the Operations Manager with administrative duties.

Responsibilities :
Maintain business processes to ensure smooth office operations
Answer phone calls and handle customer service, client needs, vendor requests, and other inquiries
Process insurance and security applications and paperwork, ensuring completeness before submission and tracking pending documents
Prepare for client meetings and manage related logistics
Anticipate and address advisor needs proactively
Efficiently update and utilize the CRM system for task management, scheduling, follow-ups, and new contacts
Provide full office coverage in the absence of the Operations Manager
Regularly review Commonwealth news items, technology updates, and email communications, and report relevant information back to the advisor

Requirements :
2+ years of relevant experience or coursework in the financial services industry
Actively working toward CFP certification
Prior experience in the financial planning/investment field with a customer service-oriented mindset
Ability to multi-task, with attention to detail and follow-up skills
Effective at prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines
Strong professional communication skills, both in-person, over the phone, and via email
Familiarity with financial terminology, concepts, practices, and procedures
Proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
