Role Overview The Account Coordinator will support key account teams by monitoring media, creating communication materials, tracking coverage, developing strategy, maintaining media lists, and handling scheduling, travel, and client interaction. Responsibilities Monitor media and social media daily for trends, new contacts, and client placements; communicate findings to team leads. Contribute to production of press releases, alerts, FAQs, messaging docs, pitches, talking points, editorial award submissions, agendas, presentations, brand campaigns, and activations. Track all press coverage, sourcing links and hard copies as needed. Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients. Create and maintain targeted media lists for broadcast, print, and online outlets. Research, identify, and build relationships with relevant media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Show strong time‑management skills and manage a high‑volume workload. Communicate effectively and professionally in all written and verbal reports, exhibiting strong organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Handle scheduling of meetings with staff and clients, including coordination and set‑up of meeting rooms and catering for new business presentations. Interface with clients and become a valuable resource. Perform administrative tasks such as booking travel for media experiences and other tasks. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field. 1‑2 years of PR experience, preferred. Above‑average grammar, spelling, punctuation, and mathematics skills. Knowledge of contemporary business procedures, computer functions, and phone etiquette. Strong interest in the Public Relations field and nonprofit, travel/hospitality verticals.
