Mill Turn Operator

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances of aerospace components. Set up Mill/Turn machines, must have Mazak, Fanuc, and Siemens CNC control. (Mazak, Integrex, WFL), and operate various CNC Mills (3-5 axis) Perform FA inspections with mechanical inspection tools. Make necessary adjustments to set up or NC code. Optimize programs for production. Complete inspection reports as required. Report any defects found and document critical quality information as necessary. Perform preventative maintenance and ensure machines are operating optimally. Work with programmers to optimize set-up and fixturing. Document tool and machine set up after FA approval. Communicate with managers, production control, engineering, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to support and resolve issues. Act as subject matter expert and train co-workers as requested. Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives. Advise Production Supervisor of any maintenance problems that may need to be resolved. Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements. Document and time track through our ERP system as necessary.
