Job Description
We are seeking a CNC Mill Set-Up Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC milling machines to produce precision machined parts to specification.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines for production runs
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Select and install proper tooling, fixtures, and offsets
- Load and edit programs at the machine as needed
- Perform first article and in-process inspections to verify part quality
- Make adjustments to maintain tolerances throughout production
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills in a machine shop environment
- Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
- Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Proficiency with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages
- Self-starter able to work with minimum supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision
