Role Description The Controller role at HCA Florida Healthcare is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Lehigh Acres, FL. This role oversees day‑to‑day financial operations, including general ledger management, month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the facility. The Controller monitors departmental performance, analyzes financial trends, and collaborates with leadership to support strategic and operational decisions. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with internal controls, healthcare regulations, and corporate policies, as well as supervising accounting staff and supporting audits. The Controller works closely with clinical and administrative teams to optimize financial processes, maintain accurate records, and contribute to long‑term financial stability. Qualifications Strong financial management and accounting skills, including general ledger oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Experience with financial reporting, audit support, internal controls, and compliance with healthcare or highly regulated industry standards. Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP software, spreadsheets, and reporting applications), with the ability to interpret and present data clearly. Leadership capabilities, including team supervision, performance management, and cross‑functional collaboration with clinical and administrative stakeholders. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non‑financial audiences. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
