As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Alert in New York NY this role is designed to provide reliable consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

07:30 AM - 03:30 PM

03:30 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. Its all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility income stability and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents visitors and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures access-related screening and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and urgent situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location including common areas entrances exits and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and policy violations.
• Monitor the location for unauthorized entry trespassing loitering and/or disruptive behavior and follow post orders for de-escalation notification and incident reporting.
• Support a respectful environment by assisting with visitor directions enforcing location rules and communicating with residents and staff regarding security-related issues and/or changing conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
