We are working with a growing manufacturer in the specialty construction materials space seeking a Regional Sales Manager to support continued growth across the Chicago market. This is a field-facing leadership role focused on driving business through distributors, contractors, architects, engineers, and related channel partners. It is a strong fit for someone who understands specification-driven selling, distributor management, technical product positioning, and how to grow territory performance through both direct customer engagement and rep support.

Position Overview

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for executing territory strategy, supporting channel relationships, growing market share, and helping train and influence customers and independent representatives throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow relationships with distributors, contractors, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders

• Execute territory sales strategy and support regional growth initiatives

• Work closely with independent reps and distribution partners to improve market penetration

• Conduct customer visits, training sessions, product presentations, and follow-up activity

• Support pricing strategy, account planning, and territory development

• Monitor pipeline activity, market conditions, and customer demand trends

• Help drive product awareness and long-term business growth across the region

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction materials, specialty products, coatings, waterproofing, building envelope, masonry, or related technical sales

• Strong understanding of distributor and contractor sales channels

• Experience working with architects, engineers, or specification-driven products preferred

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and market-development ability

• Comfortable working in a regional field-based role with regular travel

• Ability to balance strategic growth with day-to-day customer engagement

Preferred Experience

• Building envelope, concrete chemicals, masonry, restoration, or related specialty construction products

• Experience supporting reps and distributor partners

• Background in project-driven or specification-driven sales environments
