PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, WA is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist / Cath Lab Tech for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE position (4x10's, start times to vary between 0700, 0900 and 1000).

Compensation and Benefits

• $48.45 - $72.74. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

What you'll be doing:

• Uses a variety of specialized equipment in assisting the physician in the performance of all invasive procedures resulting in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.

• Assists physician in performing invasive procedures. May perform related radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging techniques to demonstrate catheter location, position, and document findings.

• Scrubs in for handling guide wires, catheter, administering contrast injections, flushing catheters, and other scrub duties as assigned per specialty.

• Performs pre-procedural patient care activities.

• Monitors and records patient's condition and procedures' progress. Retrieves and reviews patient data.

What you'll bring:

Education / Experience:

• Accredited Cardiovascular Secondary Education Program OR Accredited Radiologic Technology Secondary Education Program Required

• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in Cardiac Cath Lab required or equivalent, OR previous experience working in a hospital setting required.

Credentials

• Required: RCIS Required, or in place of an RCIS, an ARRT is required. An ARRT requires the addition of an ARRT-CV or ARRT-CI and ARRT-VI within 1 year from date of hire.

• Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support

• Required within 6 months: Advanced Cardiac Life Support

• May be required: National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification

• Preferred: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
