Greater Opportunity Applied Living Skills Inc. (GOALS Inc.) is hiring Independent Living Skills (ILS) Instructors to support adults with developmental disabilities in building independence and reaching personal goals. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on training in everyday living skills like budgeting, cooking, personal care, and community safety.
What You’ll Do- Teach and support clients one-on-one in daily living skills (money management, cooking, personal hygiene, etc.)
- Encourage independence and confidence through consistent support
- Track progress and adjust training to fit each client’s needs
- Communicate with clients, families, and team members to stay aligned on goals
- Work in both community and home settings, with flexible scheduling
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities in community settings
- Current CPR & First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to empowering others
