Job Overview – Senior Settlements Specialist (Remote) Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000/year + bonus Location: New York, NY Schedule: Monday to Friday (Remote) Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Settlements Specialist (Remote) in New York, NY for our client, supporting settlement processing, financial reporting, and account reconciliation within a legal services environment. This role manages the full lifecycle of settlements, working closely with accounting and compliance teams to ensure accuracy and timely completion. The position offers high visibility and the opportunity to take ownership of settlement operations in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities as the Senior Settlements Specialist (Remote) Settlement Processing: Manage the full lifecycle of settlements from initiation through final reconciliation. Data Entry: Ensure accurate entry of financial data across accounting systems and platforms. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies related to settlement activity. Financial Reporting: Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports to support operations. Process Improvement: Follow and enhance settlement procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy. External Communication: Serve as a point of contact with clients, vendors, and external partners. Qualifications for the Senior Settlements Specialist (Remote) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience: 5+ years of settlements or related accounting experience required, preferably within a law firm environment. Industry Knowledge: Experience within a legal or professional services environment preferred. Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills with experience in financial systems and data management. Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
