Litigation Paralegal

Job Summary A growing Florida law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its West Palm Beach office in a direct hire role. Key Responsibilities Review, organize, and summarize medical records, medical bills, pleadings, discovery, and case documents. Prepare detailed medical chronologies and case summaries to support litigation strategy. Assist attorneys with civil litigation matters, including insurance defense, bodily injury, and general liability cases. Draft, proofread, and manage legal documents, correspondence, discovery responses, and court filings. Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, coordinate records, and support trial preparation activities. Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, experts, medical providers, and court personnel. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per year. Employment Type: Direct Hire. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Work Arrangement: 100% in-office initially. Hybrid may be considered after a 90-day training period based on performance and business needs. Hybrid is not guaranteed. Required Qualifications and Skills Support civil litigation matters from case intake through discovery, case preparation, and trial support. Review and summarize medical records, medical bills, and case materials. Prepare medical chronologies, discovery documents, correspondence, and litigation support materials. Manage deadlines, organize case files, and coordinate attorney support in a fast-paced legal environment. 3+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience required. Strong working knowledge of litigation procedures, deadlines, discovery, and legal document preparation. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and legal team members. Professional judgment, confidentiality, and strong follow-through. Preferred Qualifications Prior insurance defense litigation experience strongly preferred. Experience with bodily injury and general liability litigation preferred. Strong understanding of Florida court procedures preferred. Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records and medical bills highly preferred. Basic medical knowledge is a plus.
