Our client, a leading financial services organization specializing in global markets, is seeking a Python Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Python Developer, you will be part of the Front Office Applications support team, working on critical audit items and enhancing trading and risk management systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Jersey City, NJ

What's the Job?

• Develop and maintain high-performance Python applications for global market trading systems
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and risk teams to implement domain-specific data analysis solutions
• Work on RESTful APIs and full-stack development using ReactJS to enhance user interfaces
• Participate in audit and compliance activities, ensuring systems meet regulatory standards
• Support and improve existing Fixed Income and Market Surveillance platforms

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in object-oriented languages, especially Python
• 3+ years as a senior developer working on front office applications within banking or financial services
• 3+ years of experience in quantitative research and data analysis in domain-specific contexts
• 2+ years of experience in risk and pricing application development (preferred)
• Proficiency with REST APIs, ReactJS, and full-stack development, along with experience with object and relational databases
