Tribal Fishery Education AssistantRevision Date: 05/29/2020Dept./Program: Tribal Member ServicesEmployment Status: Full Time, TemporaryDivision: Tribal ProgramsFLSA Status: Non-ExemptReports To: Tribal Harvest Program SupervisorSchedule: 40 hours/weekSupervises: N/APreference: TERO Ordinance 2017-01, P.L. 93-638Job SummaryWorks under the Harvest Program Supervisor and the Tribal Fishery Education Technician with fishing the education set net.Essential FunctionsAssistants are responsible for picking fish from the net, sorting, proper vacuum packing, and fish distributionProvides support in species reporting requirements and documentation of all cultural activities on a daily basisAssists with cleaning all equipment needed in the operation of the fishery, including nets, buoys, lines, vehicles and fish cleaning stationsMaintain a good working relationship with co-workers and Tribal MembersBe a good representation of the Tribe, as the position is highly visible in communityAssists with keeping all sites clean, orderly and safe as well as drug and alcohol freeAssists with the entry level operations for the Harvest activities under the Kenaitze Indian Tribe's Educational Fishery Plan and the Tribes policies and proceduresIt is the intent of this job description to highlight the essential functions of the position; however, it is not an all-inclusive list.
