As a Saw Operator with Central Steel & Wire, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and quality when cutting material in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. This position is a 3rd shift role. The hours for this position are Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am. Roles and Responsibilities Operating saw equipment to cut materials to specified dimensions with accuracy and precision Inspecting cut pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications Perform routine maintenance on the saw equipment to ensure optimal performance Troubleshoot any issues with equipment to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders Breaking down bulk bundles for customer‑specific orders Packaging of material to customer requirements Operating a sit‑down or side loader forklift to move material as needed Proper completion of paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping/receiving on the computer Maximum productivity for finished goods creation All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Requirements Successfully pass a skills‑based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills Minimum 2 years of similar job experience preferred Regular attendance Basic math skills Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding and new hire training Salary: $25.32 - $28.72 per hour. A starting wage higher than $25.32 per hour is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
