Health Care Analyst I

The Encounter Data Specialist supports the Encounter Data team and Health Care Informatics department by maintaining and operating the Encounter Data Processing System, designing analytic reports, analysing encounter data issues, and serving as technical lead for system and reporting requests. Responsibilities Maintain and enhance the Encounter Data Processing System database and supporting EDI, ETL, and SSIS jobs. Maintain and enhance BI dashboards and reports built with PowerBI, Snowflake, and SQL Server Reporting Services. Perform technical analysis and data mining for encounter‑data reporting requests from internal and external customers. Support internal and external integration channels to the Encounter Data Processing System, ensuring data interchange meets technical expectations and criteria. Validate encounter data processing and reporting accuracy through technical quality‑control measures. Conduct literature review, data management, and related duties incidental to the role. Maintain professional and technical knowledge via research and educational workshops. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing and sharing results with other staff. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree (Bachelor's preferred). 0‑3 years related experience. Works under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and refers only the most complex to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive subject‑matter knowledge. Provides leadership, coaching, or mentoring to a subordinate group; may act as a lead or first‑level supervisor. Basic technical skills for functional area. Basic problem‑solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and mentor others and foster teamwork. Organizational skills. Debugging skills. What’s in it for you Base salary range: $58,200 – $84,143 annually, plus an annual bonus program.
