Senior Staff Cellular Technologies Software Engineer

Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Cellular Technologies Software General Summary: This individual leads the team to improve engineering efficiency, product quality and responsibility of the designing, standardizing, implementing, verifying, validating, and commercializing of Wireless WAN (or cellular) air interface and modem technologies, as a prototype, specification, product, or component within a product. Has expertise in the WWAN specifications and can design, optimize, and implement software for advanced wireless systems and modems. Works closely with the other functional groups to develop a cost effective, high quality and high capability air interface and modem that meets industry and customer requirements with high performance (e.g., capacity, coverage, throughput, latency, power consumption) and acceptable cost (e.g., silicon area, calibration complexity, code size). Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings and communicates and implements a development plan. Will accept a Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and seven (7) years of experience in a related occupation. Will also accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and nine (9) years of progressive experience in a related occupation.
