CV Resources is searching for an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing organization at its corporate office in Raleigh, NC. This position will play a key role in supporting regional operations, managing month-end close activities, and delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis across multiple plant operations.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and can effectively collaborate with colleagues across all levels of the organization. This individual will also have the opportunity to identify process improvements, strengthen accounting procedures, and contribute to operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accounting support for regional operations across multiple plant locations.

• Play an integral role in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and maintain monthly accruals across multiple plant operations.

• Partner with plant personnel to ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and properly supported.

• Collaborate with regional management to analyze operating results and provide financial insights.

• Prepare accurate and timely management reports.

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

• Conduct routine and ad hoc financial analyses to support business decisions.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, procedures, and efficiencies.

• Support internal and external audit requests.

• Develop a strong understanding of business operations and their impact on financial performance.

• Monitor compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant accounting experience.

• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, or a minimum of 3 years for candidates with a CPA or master's degree.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with JD Edwards is preferred.

• Manufacturing, construction, or inventory accounting experience is a plus.

• Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 5%.
