Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide advanced ECG monitoring and cardiac rhythm analysis to ensure patient safety. Responsible for continuous EKG observation, arrhythmia detection, and responding to monitor alarms to promptly address life-threatening situations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrocardiograms with correct electrode placement across various clinical settings.
• Analyze ECG strips to identify and interpret arrhythmias and abnormal heart rhythms.
• Respond swiftly to monitor alarms, troubleshooting issues and escalating when necessary.
• Document all monitoring activities accurately, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and team members regarding patient status.
• Operate and maintain monitoring equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross, valid for at least one year.
• Demonstrated experience in EKG monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation.
• Familiarity with ECG procedures and equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
