Special Procedures/Unit Details: The Interventional Radiology Tech scrubs with and works under the direction of an Interventional Radiologist, performing Interventional Radiology procedures. Assist the Interventional Radiologist in all procedures done with accuracy, and professionalism. Handle confidential information and work professionally with patients, families, physicians, other departments, vendors, and equipment manufacturers. Responsible for charge entry and charge reconciliation. Be motivated to show teamwork, professionalism, respect, compassion, and kindness to patients and co-workers. Perform but not limited to: Uterine Fibroid Embolizations (UFE), Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE), Y-90, Abdominal Embolization (GI and Trauma), Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS), Venography, Portacath Placement, Apira Cath placement, Epidural Injections, Lumbar Puncture, Myelograms, joint injections, abscess drain (placement, check, and change), Tube changes (G, GJ, J, neph.), Perc Neph tube placement, Kyphoplasty, Para, Thora, Cryoablations, Bone Marrow Bx.

Compliance documents are due 5 business days prior to the traveler's scheduled start by EOD eastern time (starts are typically on Mondays but can also be on Wednesdays) Candidate must go into the lab within 24 hours after signing SRHS does have an attendance policy for travelers. If more than two shifts per 13-week contract are missed without reasonable explanation subject to SRHS discretion, contract will be reviewed for cancellation.
