Mammography Technician - Travel

Job Responsibilities:
-Practices universal precautions and aseptic technique to prevent cross contamination.
-Practices National Patient Safety Goals, obtaining a minimum of two patient identification factors.
-Adheres to all department policies and procedures.
-Able to work independently and possess strong critical thinking skills.
-Maintains a responsive/respectful relationship with staff and patients.
-Assesses and responds to patients' physical and sociological/psychological needs.

-Demonstrates working knowledge of all department equipment.
-Performs and completes all computer functions (i.e. Epic, PACS) in an accurate and timely manner.
-Maintains required licensure and CME's per MQSA.
-Practices ALARA.
-Maintains cleanliness of assigned work area and equipment.
-Ensures assigned area is properly stocked with adequate supplies and required materials necessary to perform procedures.
-Must adhere to site-specific dress code requirements.
-May have call and holiday rotations as required by the site.
-Assists with training and mentoring of new team members or students.
-Works with leadership to ensure all annual competencies are completed in a timely manner.
-Adheres to all system requirements, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
-Effectively maintains all licenses and certifications, including any CE requirements.
-Utilizes all system clinical communication tools.
-Annual pledge of Image Wisely.

Skills:

-One (1) year of experience in Mammography.
-Proficiency in Epic and Sectra PACS and can be obtained during training/introductory period.

-Looking for an experienced Mammography technologist in stereotactic biopsies, breast interventions, and diagnostic exams.

-Up to date with 15 Current Mammography CE's.

-8 hours of 2d and 3d Documented training

-Documented specific training in Stereotactic Biopsies

-Compliance with MQSA standards MG Exams

-References Preferred

Required Education:
-Graduate of an NJDEP or JRCERT approved radiography program.

Required Certifications & Licensure: ARRT Verified in Mammography

-ARRT certification in Mammography

-ARRT in Mammography

-ARRT in Radiologic Technology

-BLS

-BLS Certified

-Licensed by New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in Diagnostic Radiography

-NJ DEP Xray License

-Primary Source Verification

Shift:

-Monday - Friday

-8a - 4p ( but with the flexibility to fill day shifts)

37.50 hours/weekly

5 days/week
