Controls Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in the food industry, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting production and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Controls Engineer

Pay Range: $105,000 - $120,000

What's the Job?

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems, HMIs, and SCADA systems to optimize manufacturing processes.

• Develop and implement control system solutions to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and equipment reliability.

• Lead the integration of new automation technologies and equipment into existing production lines.

• Create and maintain electrical schematics, control system documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance across multiple production facilities to minimize downtime and resolve complex control system issues.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in controls engineering, preferably within the food manufacturing or similar industry.

• Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, and SCADA systems.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, robotics, and industrial automation technologies.

• Experience with project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
