Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU will provide specialized nursing care for neonates in a high-acuity environment, focusing on the management of various complex medical conditions. The role involves working with critically ill infants requiring advanced interventions and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver optimal care to infants with respiratory distress syndrome, intraventricular hemorrhage, and other neonatal conditions.
• Utilize specialized medical equipment such as nitric oxide, servo ventilators, and bubble CPAP to support patient needs.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish and implement care plans for neonates.
• Provide education and support to family members regarding care plans and neonatal health issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse license.
• Current certifications in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Experience in a Level IV NICU, with strong skills in managing intubated and acute infants.
• Proficiency in caring for patients requiring ventilators and tracheostomies.
• Pediatric nursing experience is preferred.

Work Schedule

• 3x12 hour shifts, rotating between nights (7p-7a) and days (7a-7p).
• Work every other weekend (EOW).
