No Offer Description The Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS is seeking a candidate for the position of: Postdoctoral Researcher at the Laboratory of Brain Imaging Number of available positions: 1 Place of work: Laboratory of Brain Imaging, Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, PAS Researcher career profiles (R1-R4): R2– recognized researcher Field of science: Medicine Type of recruitment: NCN OPUS Requirements: Doctoral degree in medicine, biology, physics or biotechnology, obtained not earlier than 12 years before the year of employment in the project (not including maternity leaves), Experience in neuroimaging or computational analysis, Good spoken and written English, Scientific achievements documented by publications from the JCR list, Two letters of recommendation, High motivation for research work and dissemination of results, Ability to work independently on challenging problems, The candidate has been awarded a PhD degree in the year of employment in the project or within 12 years prior to 1 January of the year of employment in the project. This period may be extended pursuant to the terms laid down in the document Types of costs in research projects funded by the NCN, The candidatehas been awarded a PhD degree by an institution other than Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS; alternatively, they must have completed a continuous and documented research fellowship of at least 9 months, carried out during doctoral school, doctoral studies, or after obtaining the PhD degree, at an institution other than Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS and in a country different from that in which the PhD degree was awarded. “Mapping disability in myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein-antibody disease using advanced neuroimaging” Work on the implementation of magnetic resonance imaging and data science analysis to study disability in MOGAD patients, Dissemination of results (preparing manuscripts, giving conference talks), Involvement in supervision of PhD students. Employment conditions: Employment period and remuneration: 12 months (with the possibility of extending the employment for an additional 36 months following a positive performance evaluation, for a total employment period of 48 months), Start date – no earlier than 1 October 2026, Monthly salary – approximately 11 500 PLN gross, Working in an ambitious project group with established international collaborations and recognition in MOGAD studies, Support of a wider team of researchers employed in Laboratory of Brain Imaging, Attendance at international neurology, neuroimmunology and neuroimaging conferences, Regular work in progress, journal club and lab meetings, Personal Laptop Macbook Pro, access to the computer with two monitors in the Laboratory.
