Responsibilities Provide oversight to the physical therapy team under general supervision. Assist department leadership in day‑to‑day operations and problem resolution. Coordinate staff work schedules and patient care assignments to ensure timely service delivery. Follow, clarify, and enforce department policies and procedures to ensure efficient provision of physical therapy services. Assume supervisory responsibility in the absence of department leadership. Participate in the selection and evaluation of physical therapy personnel. Coordinate and participate in department performance improvement activities. Serve as a clinical resource to the team and assist staff with resolving complex cases. Set and implement goals for the physical therapy team and serve as a mentor to staff. Provide in‑service education and orientation programs. Oversee, instruct, and evaluate staff in application of physical therapy principles, modalities, and techniques. Assist with volunteer program as needed. Function as a role model for customer service and assist in marketing physical therapy services to patients, families, and other health‑care professionals. Serve as a clinical resource for community agencies, institutions, and universities. Assist management in department functions and special projects (utilization review, quality assurance, program development, committee work). Conduct studies and research projects as requested. Perform all duties/responsibilities of a Physical Therapist. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or certification from an accredited program. Three to five years of progressively responsible clinical experience. Leadership experience is strongly preferred. Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Michigan.
