CNC Machine Operator

Schedule: Monday – Friday

4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Training: 1 week on 1st Shift (6:30 AM – 4:30 PM) Job Term: Temp to Hire Position Summary: The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for operating, programming, and troubleshooting CNC lathes to produce high-precision components. This role requires strong machining knowledge, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to support continuous process improvement within the manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate and program CNC lathes to manufacture precision components Perform CNC setup and make program adjustments as needed Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy and quality Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and implement corrective solutions Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications Collaborate with Engineering to improve designs and machining efficiency Support and train junior machinists on best practices and safety procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company quality and safety standards Job Requirements: 3+ years of CNC machining experience with strong CNC lathe expertise required Proficiency in G-code programming and CNC machine setup Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Fairway Staffing Solutions
