Job Summary:
The Pipeline Superintendent is responsible for managing the direction of pipeline transport projects. They envision the planning, route selection, the management of resources, and the daily operations. They develop long term vision safeguarding efficiency of the infrastructure.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Project Manager daily.
- Maintain good relations with client field representatives.
- Field calls from client representatives.
- Coordinate general condition resources.
- Manage job productivity, quality, and safety.
- Track all change orders and report to Project Manager
- Organize job sites productively.
- Subcontractor coordination
- Execute/coordinate all quality control.
- Perform/coordinate hydrotesting.
- Laborer performance reporting and disciplinary of personnel.
- Submit one calls.
- Coordinate work package development priorities with Field Engineer.
- Attend high risk events daily.
- Must always comply with all company safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of company safety procedures and practices
- Ability to manage projects efficiently, safely, and productively.
- Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand, interpret and communicate company policies and procedures.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Ability to work under extreme environmental and weather conditions.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Education & Experience:
Basic
- Bachelor's degree in management or related field
- 3 + years of pipeline/facilities project management experience.
- Experience scheduling, ordering, field supervision, and quality control on a pipeline/facilities project.
- Experience in managing multiple projects.
Education & Experience:
Preferred
- 10 + years of instrumentation and electrical installation experience.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job (but are not limited to). The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time, unassisted. The incumbent must wear a respirator when required. Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate industrial machinery are required. This job also requires full range of body motion to include handling and lifting. The incumbent must repeatedly lift and/or move up to 65 (SIXTY-FIVE) pounds unassisted. Visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Work is usually done outdoors and sometimes at a client facility or job site and is frequently performed in inclement and/or extreme weather conditions. The incumbent is exposed to moving electricity, mechanical parts, vehicles, equipment, and hazardous materials. This position regularly requires long work hours and frequent weekend work.
