Description Additional Position Details:FTE: 1.000000 |Full Time|Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM Starting Wage: $16.99-$23.38 per hour, depending on experience Position Summary Under general supervision, the Patient Service Rep performs a variety of support functions for a department and/or program. Duties may include all or part of the following: Greeting, instructing, directing patients and visitors; scheduling, registering, and obtaining preauthorization for treatment from insurance, Medicare, or other agencies for patients; serving as liaison between patient and medical support staff; functioning as cashier, receptionist, and referral clerk as well as maintaining records and completing data entry; and monitoring office services and supplies. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required Previous clerical, administrative, healthcare, or customer service experience, or equivalent education, is required.
