In this key role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal controls—all while contributing to process improvements and cross-departmental collaboration.Manage and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivablePrepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reportsSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesProcess invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and on timeComplete commission spreadsheets for job reconciliation and account team compensation determinationPerform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesMaintain accurate financial transaction recordsAssist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysisCollaborate with departments to ensure financial data integrityImplement and maintain internal accounting controlsPrepare documentation for auditsStay current with accounting standards and regulationsContribute to process improvement initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of progressive accounting experience (accounts receivable/payable, reconciliations, reporting)Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skillsStrong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accountingExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasksPreferred (not required): Experience with multi-state sales taxKnowledge of job cost accounting and inventory managementAdditional InformationWho This Role Is Not For This role is not a good fit for:Entry-level candidates with less than 3 years of accounting experienceCandidates looking exclusively for payroll, tax-preparer, or bookkeeping-only rolesProfessionals seeking primarily remote workIndividuals wanting a pure audit or public accounting career pathCandidates expecting managerial or supervisory responsibilities from day oneThis position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting responsibilities, thrives in structured financial environments, and values accuracy and process ownership.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
