Job Title: Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Overview

Support shipping and receiving operations by handling materials, operating forklifts, and maintaining accurate inventory. This role works closely with warehouse and production teams to keep materials moving safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Load/unload shipments and verify materials against documentation
• Operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts, along with pallet jacks
• Perform put-aways and deliver materials to production lines
• Complete cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records
• Use RF scanners and warehouse systems for tracking and order picking
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety procedures

Requirements

• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up reach forklifts
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments
• Experience with shipping/receiving and inventory control
• Strong attention to detail, especially with counts and documentation
• Comfortable using RF scanners and warehouse systems

Nice to Have

• Experience with order picking and staging materials
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems

• Warehouse setting in a manufacturing facility
• Primarily operating forklifts/material handling equipment
• Transitions to: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (Mon–Fri)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
