Tax Associate – Transactional Tax
Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a talented Tax Associate with 3–5 years of post-JD experience to join its Tax practice in Boston or New York . Candidates may also be considered for other firm office locations.
The firm is known for its sophisticated, full-service platform and commitment to delivering exceptional legal counsel to leading businesses and organizations. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking to work on complex transactional tax matters within a highly collaborative and nationally recognized practice.
Responsibilities- Advise clients on transactional tax matters involving mergers, acquisitions, financings, and investments , including debt and equity transactions.
- Support sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions and provide tax structuring and advisory guidance.
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to address complex client needs.
- Conduct legal research and prepare clear, persuasive written work product.
- 3–5 years of post-JD experience with a focus on transactional tax.
- Experience with M&A, financings, investments, and other transactional tax matters .
- Experience with partnerships/LLCs and joint ventures is a plus.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission and membership in good standing in the jurisdiction where the attorney will be based.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
