Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit in an inpatient acute care setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
• Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules as required

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (Adult and Pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher; strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification and heart block questions; maximum of three attempts)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Med-Surg / Telemetry setting
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills across both adult and pediatric populations
• Experience floating across multiple units within an acute care hospital environment
