About the Position

Description: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, Monday through Friday. Weekend rotation and holidays as needed. Two years of experience in Neuro MS/T is essential. Epic experience is required. A valid RN license is required. BLS certification from AHA is mandatory. Traveler will need to pass a Telemetry test before commencing work. The unit specializes in a fast-paced neuro specialty inpatient environment. This role provides an opportunity to enhance nursing skills through evidence-based practice. The team promotes a collaborative environment to support one another's success. Care involves working with a variety of medical and surgical neuro patients. The unit includes 25 beds dedicated to neurosurgery general care. Post-surgical cases may involve spine surgeries, brain tumors, craniotomies, or ophthalmology procedures. Patient diagnoses may include multiple sclerosis, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and spinal fractures. The interdisciplinary team includes nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, and medical teams. The focus is on high-quality, evidence-based care delivered with a patient and family-centered approach. All travelers will be required to float as needed within the facility. Minimum experience required is two years of acute care within the last three years in the relevant specialty. The telemetry exam is mandatory; passing criteria include 100% identification of lethal rhythms. Travelers will have two attempts to pass the exam; additional requirements may apply for those who do not pass on the second attempt.
