Dance Instructor Job Description
General
We are looking to hire a passionate dance instructor to join our Dance department! You will be responsible for teaching and training a dynamic group of school age students ranging from TK/K to 5th grade in a range of techniques and dance styles, ensuring that all students are engaged, motivated, and inspired to achieve their goals in their chosen area of dance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.
- Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
- Communicate with a diverse group of instructors and students.
- Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Choreograph appropriate routines and select music for recitals and concerts.
- Provide a fun, engaging and creative environment.
- Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed.
- Support in various programs- recess, sports, etc
Qualifications
- Be enthusiastic, artistic, and engaging
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Experience of 1 year in related field is required
