Lead Finance Operations Specialist

Lead Finance Operations Specialist Location: United States – Nationwide (Hybrid Work Options possible) Responsibilities Lead internal financial, planning, and analysis projects including budget, forecast, and ad-hoc reporting to management. Develop highly complex analyses and reports to provide accurate, timely, and actionable financial and/or performance improvement recommendations (e.g., utilization analysis, overhead cost control, P&L analysis, backlog analysis and trending, staff workload analysis, SWOT analysis, Risk and Opportunity Analysis). Prepare consolidated findings for management and leadership to provide insights and recommendations on business performance, levers, and opportunities. Coordinate with the headquarters accounting function for financial issues. Support management decision‑making and leadership with in‑depth analysis and assessment of business processes. Manage approvals and reporting for hardware, software, cellphones, and capital expenses. Prepare presentations and recommendations for senior management; perform ad‑hoc reporting and analysis and provide analytical and research support for corporate and unit/group projects. Serve as the unit’s/group’s operational primary point of contact, coordinating assistance and direction with various corporate functions and other departments or groups. Create monthly backlog reports and facilitate reviews of forward workload strength plan reviews with management. Track, calculate and report on KPIs for SPARS staff and staff with defined goals and metrics. Provide operational and administrative guidance to management, manage approvals for hardware, software, cellphones, and capital expenses, and manage the unit/group award program – budgeting and tracking. Provide guidance to junior staff and mentor staff on projects, initiatives, and financial and business acumen. Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent additional directly related experience). 8 years of relevant experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency contingent on duties and workload. Preferred Qualifications Experience with monthly business reviews and ad‑hoc financial reporting. Experience working for a professional services organization. Experience using cloud financial reporting services (Oracle R12, ePBCS). Experience with analytical software (Qlik, PowerBI). Advanced level of MS Excel within MS Office suite.
