Speech Language Pathologist - SLP
Ignite Communication and Connection in the Scenic Beauty of Idaho – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us
Imagine a career move that not only elevates your professional purpose but also allows you to be the catalyst for change — literally giving voice to those who seek it. As a Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic community nestled in the charming landscapes of Idaho, your work transcends beyond the treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. You will play a pivotal role in unlocking potential, instilling confidence, and fostering connections from little ones finding their voices to older adults reclaiming their independence.
This role presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact across diverse age groups in a setting that harmonizes outpatient therapy with the occasional need for inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in guiding toddlers through language development, addressing adult neurogenic communication challenges, or assisting seniors with cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will discover fulfillment and flexibility in your daily work.
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations, employing standardized assessments along with observational techniques.
Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that target communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design cohesive strategies for patient care.
Provide education to patients and families that supports their progress beyond clinical settings.
Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring smooth transitions in care throughout the treatment process.
Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational standards.
Stay abreast of advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies suitable for all age groups, with a solid grounding in both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills that foster relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment and adept problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
Competitive salary based on experience.
Flexible work hours promoting a healthy work-life balance and diversified caseloads.
Possibilities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
Support for ongoing education and professional growth.
Team-oriented environment focused on delivering quality care and fostering lifelong learning.
A Career That Connects You — and Moves You
In this position, your role will extend beyond traditional speech therapy — you will join a community-driven mission dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and creating joyful moments through the fundamental human acts of understanding and being understood.
You will collaborate with fellow clinicians who treat each other with respect and camaraderie in an environment that champions collaboration over competition. Each patient is unique with a story to tell; we believe in your ability to shape how those narratives are articulated.
