Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred in Neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (Davinci Xi) cases. License: South Carolina License preferred. Certifications: NBSTSA certification required, BLS certification required. Must-Have: Must have a radiation badge provided by the agency. Experience with Level 1 trauma required. Travelers must be open to accommodating block schedule upon manager approval.

Description: Position will involve working four 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a holiday rotation. Weekend shifts may be required as needed, including one weekend shift. On-call shifts are required, up to four call shifts per month. The facility is a Level 1 trauma center with 21 operating room suites covering all surgical specialties. Staff includes a mix of registered nurses and certified surgical technologists. This department is dynamic and utilizes cutting-edge technology. The position requires experience in a variety of surgical cases, including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Candidates with a pending South Carolina license may be considered if proof of application is provided. Travelers should be aware of emergency response assignments during hurricane season. Hurricane season runs from June through November. All required documentation must be submitted for compliance before the proposed start date. Traveler must complete all laboratory requirements within designated timeframes. Module hours are included in non-billable hours and are completed pre-start.
