As a Machine Operator, you will be the "Technical Pilot" of our label production line. You will lead the setup and operation of precision machinery, ensuring we meet vital deadlines with a "zero‑defect" mindset. We are looking for a teammate who is curious about how things work and takes personal accountability for quality and performance. Shift 2nd Shift, 2PM-10:30PM, Tuesday‑Wednesday off What You’ll Do Operate & Own: Efficiently run label machines to meet daily production schedules while minimizing raw material waste. Technical Troubleshooting: Use your mechanical aptitude to monitor instruments, maintain dies, and find root‑cause solutions to equipment malfunctions. Digital Accuracy: Utilize ERP systems and logs to track time, materials (FIFO inventory), and quality control data. Team Support: Collaborate across departments, performing distribution functions as needed to ensure site success. Safety First: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements. Who You Are Detail‑Oriented: You have a high attention to detail, capable of monitoring close tolerances and catching errors before they lead to waste. Adaptable: You display agility when priorities shift and are comfortable learning new software and cross‑training on different assets. Reliable: You understand that regular attendance is essential for the team’s collective success. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 1‑2 years of related experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical skills and the ability to distinguish colors for quality labels. Physical Ability: Comfortable standing for full shifts and lifting up to 50 lbs. The hourly rate for this position is $17.79 - $23.72 / hour. The hiring wage rate range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range.
