HVAC TechnicianMaintains preventative maintenance schedule on associated HVAC systemsCollaborates with managers and supervisors to maintain systems in peak operating conditionFollows all regulations and appropriate procedures including quality policies, safety policies, and standards per OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, NFPA, ASME, NEC where requiredPerforms ductwork modifications and various repairsPerforms brazing, soldering, evacuation, recovery and charging of various refrigerantsPerforms water piping and insulation modifications and repairsCompletes work orders as assigned in a timely mannerProduces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate mannerMaintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standardsPlans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlinesUnderstands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilitiesProactively maintains the skills required to perform job dutiesMentors, monitors, and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRHShows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behaviorProvides quality services for students and ensures that quality is maintained, and student needs are metExchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requestedEffectively articulates thoughts and ideasIdentifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actionsFollow-up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact correctedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency certificateFour years of professional experience working with HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systemsCertification or registration as HVAC technicianKnowledge in the following areas: HVAC, electrical safety, tubing, pipe-fittings, rotating machinery (pumps, air compressors, etc.), and basic plumbingUniversal certification from the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI)Knowledge of flammable gas, and refrigeration gasesProfessional experience maintaining high efficiency and standard air handling unit (AHU) filtration systemsBasic understanding of the theory of operation for refrigeration, motors, and mechanicsAbility to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies and industry standardsAbility to understand schematic diagramsAbility to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in tight spaces, and climbing hand over hand, lifting 25 lbs., and working on ladders/lifts at elevated heightsAbility to work in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, noise, and all-weather conditionsAbility to work overtime as needed and participate in an on-call rotationAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Equus Workforce Solutions is a leading provider of workforce development services in North America.
