Duties

• Conduct patient intake assessments, including collecting accurate medical histories
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision
• Assist healthcare providers with procedures
• Administer medications, injections, and vaccines following established protocols while maintaining patient safety standards
• Document patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with medical coding standards like ICD and CPT codes
• Support medical administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, patient follow-up calls, and managing patient flow
• Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist during minor procedures
• Provide compassionate patient service by explaining procedures in multiple languages and addressing patient concerns effectively

Experience

• Prior experience working in pediatric clinics is highly desirable
• Demonstrated proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with medical terminology
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, medication administration protocols, and basic life support (BLS) certification required
• Experience working in high-pressure environments
• Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish to facilitate effective patient interactions and team collaboration
