Responsibilities As a JR Attorney, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients while managing probate and guardianship/conservatorship matters from opening through resolution. Managing a caseload of contested and complex Probate and Guardianship, Conservatorship cases Conducting client consultations and strategy meetings Building trusted relationships with clients through clear communication, empathy, and responsiveness Drafting, reviewing, and filing probate pleadings, petitions, motions, and related legal documents Conducting legal research and developing case strategies Representing clients in hearings, mediations, and litigation when necessary Overseeing case progression to ensure matters move efficiently and deadlines are met Collaborating with legal assistants and paralegals to provide an exceptional client experience Assisting with accounts receivable collections and client account management as needed Providing proactive updates and guidance to clients throughout their legal journey Why This Role Is Different This position offers: Direct client interaction from day one Meaningful courtroom and probate experience Mentorship from experienced attorneys Opportunities to develop litigation skills A clear path for professional growth and increased responsibility The ability to make a genuine impact on the lives of families throughout Georgia Requirements What we are looking for: Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia Bar New attorneys and recent bar passers are encouraged to apply Strong communication and relationship‑building skills High emotional intelligence and professionalism Strong organizational and time‑management abilities Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills A growth mindset and willingness to learn A desire to build a long‑term career helping families navigate life’s legal challenges Benefits Nelson Elder Care Law was founded in 2014 to provide residents of GA with dependable counsel in all matters of Elder Law.
