2 HOURS PER DAY 192 Days worked per school calendar Salary Range: $11.11 to $11.91 per hour Location Available; Carylwood Intermediate Candidates will be required to provide a copy of their high school diploma or GED credential. Contract Workdays: School Days

Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the Cafeteria Assistant monitors the lunch room and hallways, ensuring that the rules are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, and
• Prior experience, preferred, or
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience

An employee who poses a direct threat to the health and safety of himself/herself or others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position. An employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district. An employee shall serve as a role model to students and shall instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values.

95% BUILDING ASSISTANCE

Monitors the lunch room and hallways Ensures that students are following rules Assists in cleaning Cafeteria Directs visitors to appropriate places

5% MISCELLANEOUS

• Performs additional duties and assignments, as requested

Additional Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue
• Occasional interaction among unruly children
• Occasionally lift, carry, push and pull various items up to a maximum of 80 pounds
• Frequent requirement to sit, stand, walk, hear, see, read, crouch, kneel and stoop
• Occasional requirement to balance, climb and use color vision
• Checks emails daily/often
