Staff Accountant Location: Indianapolis, IN (In-Office) Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year Benefits: Full Benefits Package Company Overview We are a reputable and growing organization in Indianapolis, IN, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. Position Overview As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. You will be an essential part of our accounting team, contributing to the overall success of the business. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. Prepare journal entries and post them to the appropriate accounts. Assist in preparing tax filings and other financial documentation. Support accounts payable and receivable functions. Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data. Assist with audits and other financial reviews as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1-3 years of accounting experience (preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment). Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
