Senior Maintenance Worker Position Details:

Location: Morristown, TN

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days & Nights), including weekends as scheduled

Key Responsibilities

- Operate, monitor, and maintain the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

- Perform routine water testing and monitor treatment systems to ensure proper operation and compliance.

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, conveyors, belts, fans, mechanical equipment, and facility systems.

- Perform plumbing repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the facility.

- Complete general building maintenance, including minor electrical, carpentry, painting, flooring, and HVAC repairs.

- Disassemble equipment, replace worn or damaged parts, adjust mechanical components, and inspect completed repairs.

- Perform preventive maintenance by cleaning, lubricating, and servicing equipment to maximize performance and minimize downtime.

- Read and interpret work orders, operating procedures, and schematic drawings to complete repairs accurately.

- Monitor equipment performance and identify unsafe conditions or potential mechanical failures before they become major issues.

- Assist with inventory of maintenance parts, equipment, and supplies, and help coordinate replacement parts as needed.

- Serve as a lead by assisting with training, assigning work, and supporting lower-level maintenance employees.

- Operate maintenance carts or other company vehicles as needed.

- Respond to emergency maintenance situations.

- Assist with groundskeeping, special projects, and other maintenance duties as assigned.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, and participating in regular safety training.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

- Previous Wastewater Treatment Plant experience is strongly preferred.

- Licensed plumber or candidate with strong plumbing experience highly preferred.

- At least 1 year of maintenance or related experience (additional experience preferred).

- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.

- Ability to read and understand schematic drawings.

- Basic computer skills, including email and texting.

- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe maintenance practices.

- Ability to work independently and lead others when needed.

- Must be able to work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

- Ability to climb ladders, work in elevated or confined spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds.
