Production Associate I - 1st Shift *

Job Description The Production Associate I at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions is responsible for various window & door assembly operations while ensuring the safe production of a high-quality product and minimizing waste and cost. The Associate works with a sense of urgency while maintaining the flow of material throughout the plant. What you'll do Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick and pack products Support and participate in employee engagement activities Follow defined clean-up times Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies Follow and work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and standardized operations Participate in defining and improving standard work to improve quality windows for customers Identify problems and communicate issues Assist with training co-workers Support a respectful workplace Perform other duties across the plant as directed by supervision or management Pay rate $16/hr What you'll need Ability to read tape measures and interpret fractions and decimals Ability to read at least minimum word and number recognition/visual cues Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and knowing when to change PPE Identify hazards while understanding station safety protocols and PPE Knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances Follow instruction and standard work while frequently referring to standard work instructions Knowledge of product defects specific to their workstation Quality recognition in station quality requirements/CTQ Communicate effectively by actively listening, explaining clearly & accurately, asking questions, and sharing important info Time management and awareness of cycle times Ability to wear required PPE (metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, safety glasses) Dependability, punctuality & detail oriented High school diploma preferred Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and stand is required Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds, 8 to 12 hours a day is required Ability to work in a hot & cold environment is required Willing & able to work extended hours and weekends based on business needs is required Will fit various positions in various departments (cross-trained) is required Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods is required Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations is required Follow supervisors’ instructions/directions as given is required Possess skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication and initiative Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionality Competencies Cornerstone Building Brands (CBB) Values and Behaviors & Mindsets – Act consistently with CBB’s values (safety, integrity, inclusion) and behaviors (customer-centricity, interconnectedness, continuous improvement) Anticipation – Proactively identify and solve issues before they become problems Problem Solving – Determine the cause of problems, prioritize alternatives, and implement solutions; notify leader if necessary Attention to Detail – Complete tasks with thorough concern for all involved areas, monitoring and checking work efficiently Collaboration – Highly collaborative team player; partners with others with respect and humility Energy – High positive energy to tackle complex challenges in a fast-paced environment and energize others towards business objectives What you'll get Healthcare benefits starting on your first day of work Competitive pay Generous PTO Employee discount programs Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?
