This position directly supports the Defense Innovation Acceleration (DIA) office within the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Prototyping and Experimentation (P&E). The Defense Innovation Acceleration office identifies, incubates, and transitions technologies, systems, and systems-of-systems that close time-critical gaps in high-priority efforts supporting the joint warfighter. The candidate will serve as the functional and technical expert to assess and support oversight of rapid prototyping efforts, including concept development, technical development, programmatic oversight, assessments, and transition of capabilities that align to the DoW and other strategic priorities.ResponsibilitiesServe as the functional and technical expert to assess and support oversight of rapid prototyping efforts, including concept development, technical development, programmatic oversight, assessments, and transition of capabilities that align to the DoW and other strategic priorities.Provide project management support for project proposal reviews, analysis, and funding recommendations.Responsible for analysis and evaluation of project effectiveness, assessing project development, and overall execution.Provide technical expertise to assist in discovering, assessing, and evaluating cutting edge technologies that will enable execution of the emerging Joint Warfighting Concept (JWC).Prepare, coordinate, and staff ongoing projects and technical/operational demonstrations (i.e. funding documents, memorandums, agreements, program reviews, reports, briefs, etc).Collaborate with government labs, the Services, academia, and industry as required to ensure successful project execution.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, scientific, technical, management, or related discipline.TS/SCI Required; #qinetiqclearedjobA minimum of 10 years of experience in defense / technology development. Experience with project management and analysis of prototypes. Ability to synthesize vast amounts of complex technical data into senior executive level information.Experience with OSW processes and procedures related to supported tasks, including preparing technical briefs, presentations, packages, and DoW/Congressional-level correspondence. Experience in the following specialties: prototyping solutions, R&E modernization, and joint warfighting concepts. Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in a technical, business, or related fieldPMP certificationExperience in OSW / Joint Staff / CCMDsPay TransparencyThe salary range for this role is $125,000 to $140,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
